Board Leadership in Information Technology

Description: IT requires a special set of skills and a strategic mind. If you have that love and experience for IT and are interested in guiding our advancing technology requirements, we have a Board position for you. Join a team of fun-loving, driven individuals enthusiastic about supporting their community.

Board Leadership in Legal and Human Resources

Description: Would you enjoy crafting human resource policies that align with current employment laws all as part of an enthusiastic leadership team? Are you a person with these skills to share or working on building experience in HR? Join our Board team to support a growing community service non-profit. As a member of the Rimbey Community Home Help Services Association Board, you will play a critical role in ensuring the resources are in place to support the people on the ground. Come join a fun-loving, engaged Board team!

Community Information and Referral Service

Description: Assist community members with filling out forms and finding information for government programs including: CPP, OAS, Ab Senior Benefit and AISH. Also with Housing programs RRAP and RIMOKA housing application. Training will be provided

Time Commitment: 2-3 hours per week with set appointment times. Flexible days and times. This program is provided with office space to do this very important work.
Emergency Response Reception Centre

Description: Assist community members impacted by disasters or emergencies through work at a local reception centre. This work includes providing registration and communication paths as well as the necessities for life. Leadership and support positions available. This is highly, meaningful, front-line work.

Time Commitment: As needed determined by incident occurrence. Short notice availability required. Advance training required.
Special Events Support

Description: Work on a wide variety of community events adding fun activities and valuable support to your local community. Senior, youth, family, and skill-building events included. Leadership and support positions available. Have fun working with a team that adds great value to the community.

Time Commitment: 2-6 hours per month - support, 12 hours – leadership; based on planned event schedule. Varies times of the year.
